There are moments in life where you pause and say to yourself...
I wish I knew that back then.
In this case, here are 3 quotes which I wish I heard when I was younger that would have really helped.
“Good ideas are always crazy until they’re not.” ― Ashlee Vance, Elon Musk: How the Billionaire CEO of SpaceX and Tesla is Shaping our Future
At number 3, I have this, from Elon Musks Biography. Of-course, you know, not all of us are tortured geniuses like Elon, with a habit of moving the human species forward in innovative ways.
But this applies to absolutely everything and everyone in life.
Sometimes the most craziest life choices we make, end up being the best choices we ever make.
It might be insane to leave your job and start something new, that you've always wanted to. But pretty soon, it might also be the most liberating experience of your life. Crazy turns into normal.
So keep this in mind. It might seem crazy now to others. But soon it won't be.
“There is no good or bad without us, there is only perception. There is the event itself and the story we tell ourselves about what it means.”
― Ryan Holiday, The Obstacle Is the Way: The Timeless Art of Turning Trials into Triumph
At number 2, Ryan Holiday comes into play.
If only you could speak to your younger self, I'm pretty sure you would tell him or her that the meaning we attach to situations is everything.
It is within our power to see the good in all situations, it might not be easy but that fluidity will bring you a powerful clarity that others won't have.
“Without a struggle, there can be no progress.”
― Frederick Douglass
This is certainly an old one but at number 1 I've got this.
Struggle doesn't ever feel good and seldom in moments of struggle do we think - wow this means progress. I've found that in my life I have to remind myself of this fact.
In some shape or form that might make things easier on you when life seems to be one challenge after another.
